One trail. Two very different views.
My view last year was a trail squeezed in between fives lanes of Highway 101 and the waters of the San Francisco Bay. Then, it provided perfect scenery for half-marathon training and zoning out to clear skies and squalls.
My view today was very different. I saw a trail that was well-kept and beautiful, dividing city life from outdoor life, with new things to explore at every turn.
Like this mysterious-looking boardwalk here jutting into the Bay. Have no idea what possessed me but I daringly and spontaneously ventured out to see how sturdy it was.
What I found was that curiosity can sometimes take you a little far. And that I’m #neverdoingthisagain.
