# Explore the San Francisco Bay Trail.
One trail. Two very different views. My view last year was a trail squeezed in between fives lanes of Highway 101 and the waters of the San Francisco Bay. Then, it provided perfect scenery for half-marathon training and zoning out to clear skies and squalls. My view today was very different. I saw a trail that was well-kept and beautiful, dividing city life from outdoor life, with new things to explore at every turn. Like this mysterious-looking…
# Go on a Crazy, Fun, Whirl-Wind Summer Date.
There are dates (the kind you laugh about over cocktails) and then there are dates (the crazy-fun kind you log in the history books). This recent date #3 with Mr. Tall and Handsome Drink of Water was epic: A walk on the beach at sunset, followed by sweet lattes, followed by a spontaneous trip to the Roman-esque Palace of Fine Arts, followed by fish tacos. I’m still reliving the moments. We took endless sunglasses-on selfie pics.…

It’s a week after the 10K Table Rock Trail Run at Mt. Tamalpais, and my legs still feel like jelly. Little did I know when I ambitiously signed up that Mt. Tam is unforgiving to soles, calves, sunshine, WiFi connections and apathetic runners. It’s an all or nothing course with a 2,000 foot slope to climb to get to the top of the mountain. Marin County’s Mount Tamalpais has been ground zero for biking, hiking and running ever since…
#113: Experience Two SF Hallmarks: Dogs & Fog.
I read recently in my newly favorite urban newspaper, The Bold Italic, that cities are like an onion or an artichoke. “You have to peel back the layers to get to the good stuff. You have to peel back the tourist traps, the Starbucks, the chain staples – to discover the oddball visionaries, lesser-known histories and unconventional destination spots that arguably make up the meat of the city’s beloved urban heart.” I agree. You fall in love with a city because…
