I had heard about this famous bookstore in Portland that stretched a block wide. Now I know what they were talking about. I asked where the travel section was. The lovely, knowledgeable librarian gave me a 4-story library map, a bookmark, a coffeeshop coupon, a bumper sticker and tip to “narrow down the travel list, there’s a lot of books up there.” Apparently, this book land has so much in it you could spend a day, or three, here. Travel section and Anthony Bordain, here we come.
