Sometimes wild, great success is found through the most unconventional career path. Lauren found her success story and 12-year, award-winning career path by accident, actually. After graduating from college in Richmond, VA, she thought her Public Relations degree and Corporate Sustainability scholarship would take her to New York City. Instead the Recession of 2008 washed that dream down the toilet.

Joining the service industry seemed like the obvious last resort. But she did the opposite of what most college grads did. She went the entrepreneurial freelance route, found her calling in digital & social media, and never looked back.

Fast track to today, about 39 brand experiences later, she works at the intersection of strategy, creative, media & data insights building socially responsible brands on a national and global scale. Simply put, she is the quintessential glue holding everything together.

She humbly credits her success to her living all over the globe, going freelance at 21, starting a small business, and collaborating with the most talented people out there she now call friends. But those friends, colleagues, leaders, teams, and partners will tell you it’s her spirit, grit, and some kinda fearlessness that sets her apart from her contemporaries.

By day, she leads strategy for digital media and new business. By weekend, she doubles as a career coach, entrepreneur, and web designer – either starting businesses or getting dream ones off the ground. And when she’s not burning the midnight oil on those, you can probably find her outside trying to make the world a better place than she found it. Which obviously includes yappy hours, scuba diving, recycling & traveling the globe.
